After months of visiting Bombay nearly every other weekend, we FINALLY made it to Blue Frog. Packan, 3G and I landed there on what seemed like the perfect night - a tribute all things Retro, with a band that could not possibly be better. The lead vocalist had a voice that could carry a few hundred miles, their song collection left us hoarse and the crowd was, well, pretty awesome. And oh, the pianist looked a fair bit like Packan, which is always cool with me.
We made it to the dance floor and were pretty much taken for an unending treat there - Beach Boys, Wham, Bryan Adams, finishing up in grand style with La Bamba. Oh you name it, they played it. We danced and screamed and went back home very very happy.
It has been a long while - too long - since I've come across a good live band. Good job, Blue Frog. We'll be back for sure.
